This was the first Global Game Jam that I participated in. The global theme was 'Waves,' and the original intent of the project was to have a top-down laser tag type multiplayer game where two players compete in a robot production factory and shine their light energy waves at the opposing robots. The original idea of the game was that it would have network capabilities of 2 to 4 players, and that there would be reflective objects within the level that the waves of light could bounce off. The robots were also intended to fire light energy in any direction. Unfortunately there were complications late in the project and some intended mechanics were not able to be implemented, however I aided the programmers in creating alternative solutions in order to have a completed title, which was what my personal goal was.

My team consisted of all first time Global Game Jam participants. Two web programmers acted as the project's programmers, whom had never used Unity before. Two other designers and myself handled the art, audio and implementation into Unity. My role within the project was teaching the programmers how to use Unity and teach Unity specific programming terms. I also created all level assets, and built the entire level.
